Spinathon in Dobbs Ferry 1/23/10

On January 23, 2010, the New York Sports Clubs again partnered with the Tower of Hope to hold a 'Spinning for Soldiers' fundraiser, our fourth joint venture to provide wounded veterans with the many benefits of an expertly trained service dog. It costs in excess of $25,000 per dog, and takes nearly 2 years for them to be adequately trained. This event raised over $13,000! in just 6 hours. In addition, platinum sponsor Shoprite not only provided all the refreshments for the spinners and spectators, but presented TTOH Founder Cathy Carilli with a check for $10,000, money raised during a cashier checkout campaign that named the Tower of Hope as it's sole recipient. On hand to help promote the event, was Veteran Joyce Van Horn, and her Service Dog Brigham, sponsored by the Tower of Hope in 2007!
